About the Role

Mindplace are seeking an experienced Paediatric Occupational Therapist to join our multidisciplinary team. This role is specifically suited to clinicians with a strong background in paediatric occupational therapy, who are confident supporting children and young people with complex developmental, functional, and psychosocial needs.

2 roles available, one in Sydney and one in Melbourne – Full or part-time available

As an Occupational Therapist at Mindplace, you’ll play a pivotal role in supporting clients to improve their mental health, daily functioning, and overall wellbeing. This is a patient-facing clinical role where you will work with individuals experiencing challenges with mental health, psychosocial disability, or functional limitations.

In this role, you’ll:

Conduct comprehensive assessments to understand clients’ functional abilities, daily routines, and psychosocial needs.
Develop and deliver evidence-based, personalised interventions to enhance independence, coping strategies, and life participation.
Support clients in building skills for self-care, work, education, and community engagement.
Apply mental health-informed strategies including stress management, sensory regulation, and activity-based interventions.
Collaborate closely with Psychologists, Behaviour Support Practitioners, Exercise Physiologists, and other allied health professionals to provide holistic, person-centred care.
Maintain accurate clinical documentation and monitor progress to ensure clients achieve meaningful outcomes.

About You

We’re seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist with:
Relevant tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy.
Current AHPRA registration.
3–5+ years of clinical experience in occupational therapy (Paediatric therapy).
Strong clinical reasoning and assessment skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build meaningful client and colleague relationships.
Experience delivering evidence-based care and fostering innovation in service delivery.
