Your impact
As the Head of IT Resilience & Cybersecurity, you will be Transdev ANZ's most senior cybersecurity leader, responsible for defining and driving the organisation's cybersecurity, resilience, and technology risk strategy. You'll act as a trusted advisor to executive leaders, helping the business understand and manage risk while embedding cybersecurity into organisational planning and decision-making.
Working closely with the General Manager, IT, local leadership teams, and Transdev's global cybersecurity organisation, you will influence strategic investment, strengthen resilience, and ensure cybersecurity supports operational performance, passenger safety, business continuity, regulatory compliance, and organisational reputation.
This role will suit a pragmatic leader who is excited by the challenge of building maturity. You'll inherit an environment with significant opportunities for improvement across cybersecurity, resilience, governance and operational maturity. Success will require a leader who can balance long-term strategic vision with a continuous improvement approach, bringing people on the journey while making meaningful progress with finite resources.
What you'll do
- Define and lead Transdev ANZ's cybersecurity vision, roadmap, and resilience strategy.
- Provide executive-level advice on cyber risk, resilience, and technology governance.
- Partner with business and IT leaders to integrate cybersecurity into strategic planning, investment decisions, and organisational priorities.
- Represent ANZ within Transdev's global cybersecurity organisation and contribute to Group cybersecurity initiatives.
- Oversee cybersecurity maturity, risk management, resilience, business continuity, and disaster recovery capability.
- Monitor emerging threats, vulnerabilities, technologies, and industry trends, ensuring proactive risk management.
- Lead business impact assessments, risk reviews, and cybersecurity improvement initiatives.
- Establish target maturity levels and ensure progress is tracked, measured, and reported.
- Establish and maintain cybersecurity policies, standards, and governance frameworks.
- Embed security-by-design principles across projects and technology services.
- Ensure alignment with Group requirements, client obligations, and regulatory frameworks.
- Provide clear reporting of cyber risk exposure and recommended treatment strategies to executive leadership.
- Champion a cyber-aware culture across the organisation.
- Lead cybersecurity awareness programs, executive simulations, training initiatives, and threat briefings.
- Build trusted relationships with clients, regulators, auditors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
What you bring
Experience & qualifications:
- 8+ years' experience in cybersecurity, technology risk, resilience, IT governance, or related disciplines.
- Significant experience operating at senior leadership or executive advisory level.
- Experience with recognised security frameworks including ISO 27001, NIST CSF, ASD Essential Eight, ISA-95, IEC62443, ISM, or similar.
- Experience with the Security of Critical Infrastructure (SOCI) Act and related regulatory obligations.
- Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, CRISC, or ISO 27001 Lead Implementer/Auditor highly regarded.
- Experience within public transport, critical infrastructure, government, operational technology, or other regulated environments preferred.
