WSP’s Sydney Building Services team is delivering some of Australia’s most significant transport infrastructure projects and we are looking for an experienced Senior Hydraulic Engineer to play a key role in their delivery.
Working as part of our specialist Building Services group, you will lead hydraulic design across major transport projects including rail stations, metro infrastructure, tunnels, depots, airport facilities and associated precinct developments. This is an opportunity to work on complex, high-profile projects while being supported by one of the industry's strongest technical networks.
The Role
- Lead the hydraulic design and delivery of major transport and infrastructure projects
- Take ownership of hydraulic design from concept through to construction support
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to developing engineers
- Coordinate closely with multidisciplinary teams including mechanical, electrical, structural, civil and transport specialists
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients, contractors and project stakeholders
- Review designs, specifications and documentation to ensure quality, compliance and constructability
Contribute to project bids, client engagement and technical innovation initiatives

You will work across a diverse portfolio of transport projects while also supporting opportunities within mission critical, defence, commercial and public infrastructure sectors.
About You
- Extensive experience as a Hydraulic Engineer within a building services consultancy
- Demonstrated experience delivering large, complex transport or infrastructure projects
- Strong knowledge of Australian Standards, NCC, Sydney Water requirements and relevant transport authority standards
- Proven ability to lead design packages and coordinate multidisciplinary project teams
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- A collaborative approach with a passion for technical excellence and mentoring others
CPEng status or progress towards chartership will be highly regarded
