About Us

Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District (NBMLHD) is an exceptional environment to advance your career while enhancing your skills and expertise. As a recognised leader in the healthcare industry, we deliver a comprehensive range of public health services across the Nepean, Blue Mountains, and Lithgow Regions.

The Primary Care and Community Health Unit consists of 9 centres that provide a range of services for children, young people and their families, adults, older people and their carers. Our services range from health promotion, prevention and early detection through to assessment, treatment and continuing care. Our staff work in partnership with schools, GPs, hospitals, non-government agencies and other organisations to provide care across our centres, in people’s homes, other community venues as well as virtual care (telehealth).

This Physiotherapist role is part of a community‑based team that provides high‑quality physiotherapy interventions across a broad range of services and diverse client presentations. The physiotherapy team delivers assessments and interventions to clients living in their own homes or attending a community health centre, as well as running group exercise programs at community centres.

Are you a dynamic physiotherapist with a passion for aged care and slow stream rehabilitation? Join our dedicated team delivering high-quality physiotherapy services across a range of community-based programs, including: - Transitional Aged Care Program (TACP) - Nepean Post Acute Community Care (NPACC) - Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP). This position is offering a fantastic opportunity to step into a meaningful role within a well‑established service.

In this role, you’ll work closely with clients transitioning through various stages of care, helping them regain independence and improve quality of life - whether in their own homes or within our Community Health Centres. ou’ll be part of a collaborative multidisciplinary environment where your clinical skills, creativity, and compassion truly make a difference.

What you will bring to the role

Tertiary qualifications in Physiotherapy and Current National Physiotherapy Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (AHPRA).
Demonstrated ability to provide high-quality physiotherapy assessment and intervention across a broad range of clinical presentations, commensurate with level of experience.
Demonstrated effective written and verbal communication skills.
Demonstrated effective time management skills.
Demonstrated commitment to professional development and demonstrated knowledge of Quality Improvement & Evidence Based Practice.
Demonstrated high level communication and interpersonal skills within a health environment, with experience working in multidisciplinary team settings.
Current Driver's Licence and willingness to use for work purpose travel. This may include driving long distances across the LHD.
