What's the role?
Embedded in the Taste content team, this Video Producer will be the driving force behind our long-form YouTube strategy.
You’ll work closely with editors, chefs, and creators to concept, shoot, and edit high-impact, narrative-driven food content-from deep-dive recipes and vodcast series to engaging culinary feature packages.
Beyond long-form YouTube releases, you will also craft optimized social edits (TikTok, Reels, Shorts) to drive reach and engagement across all Taste digital platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
End-to-End YouTube Production: Concept, shoot, and edit high-quality long-form video packages, recipe series, and talent-led vodcasts designed specifically for YouTube growth.
Studio & Location Setup: Manage multi-camera setups, lighting, audio recording
Post-Production Excellence: Deliver polished long-form cuts alongside snappy, high-performing short-form social edit to amplify reach.
Distribution & Publishing: Upload and optimize videos via YouTube Studio and internal CMS platforms, applying best practices for thumbnails, titles, metadata, and social posting.
Visual Storytelling: Translate food, cooking trends, and creator talent into visually stunning, highly engaging video narratives that elevate the Taste brand.
Who are you?
Advanced Editing Skills: High proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro (After Effects and Photoshop skills are a major plus for graphics and thumbnails).
Technical Production Expertise: Strong hands-on experience with camera operation, studio/kitchen lighting, audio capture, and multi-cam vodcast switching.
YouTube Native: Deep understanding of YouTube mechanics, packaging, pacing, and thumbnail/title strategy, alongside broader social media video trends.
Storytelling Mastery: Proven ability to craft engaging, talent-led narratives in a long-form video format.
CMS & Publishing: Prior experience working with Content Management Systems and video publishing workflows.
Location: Must be based in Sydney and able to work on-site at Holt St.
