We are looking for passionate Support Workers to join our team on a casual basis in Mt Hutton. You will support people with disability to build independence, wellbeing, and community connection.

We welcome people from all backgrounds because we know that diverse experiences, abilities, languages, and cultures strengthen our team, enhance the support we provide to our customers, and make Northcott stronger.

In this role, you will

Provide personal care that promotes dignity and independence (e.g. showering, toileting, continence support).
Support safe manual handling and mobility using hoists and other aids.
Follow individual care plans to meet health needs such as epilepsy or wound care.
Prepare meals and assist with mealtimes in line with mealtime management plans.
Enable customers to participate in everyday activities — from household tasks to social and community outings.

You will be surrounded by an experienced, supportive team who’ll help you grow your skills and build a rewarding career in disability support.

About You

We are looking for someone who is caring, adaptable, and ready to make a real difference every day. You don’t just see tasks — you see people, and you meet them where they are with empathy and respect.

To thrive in this role, you will bring:

A flexible approach to work — you’re happy to support across various shifts, including mornings, afternoons, and weekends.
Disability Industry experience; Lived experience of disability is highly valued.
Experience supporting participants with complex care needs, including catheter care, bowel care, and diabetes management.
Experience working in Supported Independent Living and providing personal care.
Experience in managing behaviours of concern, administering medication and manual handling.
The ability to stay calm, think quickly, and provide steady, confident support — even when things get challenging.
A positive attitude, a team spirit, and a genuine passion for helping others achieve their goals.
