Do work that matters:

Reporting to the Senior Manager, you will lead complex investigations to identify emerging risks, customer opportunities and strategy improvements, translating insights into changes that improve customer outcomes while maintaining strong risk performance. In this role, you will contribute to the evolution of automated business lending and the customer experience at scale.

This exciting opportunity is part of our Career Comeback Program. Stepping back into your career after a break can feel daunting – that’s exactly what our Career Comeback Program is designed for. It’s a structured, supported pathway for experienced professionals returning to the workforce after an extended career break, offering wrap-around support to help you rebuild confidence, refresh skills and set yourself up to thrive from day one.

As part of the Program, you can expect:

Paid 12-week support Program starting in October, with employment on a permanent contract extending post-program.
A structured induction and re-onboarding experience to help you settle in quickly.
Personalised career coaching and mentoring for confidence, clarity and momentum.
Professional development workshops designed to support your transition back to work.
A dedicated Program Manager and support network (e.g. buddy/alumni connection) to guide you throughout the program.
Hybrid working options, where you’ll spend at least half of your working time each month in the office, with the flexibility to work remotely for the remainder.

On any given day you will:

Lead investigations to identify emerging portfolio trends, assess strategy performance and uncover opportunities to improve customer and business outcomes.
Develop data-driven recommendations and influence stakeholders across Product, Technology, Line 1 and Line 2 Risk to deliver credit strategy enhancements.
Own the design, implementation and ongoing optimisation of automated business lending credit strategies.
Use hypothesis-led analytics to evaluate strategy performance, quantify opportunities and support strategic decision-making.
Ensure credit strategies operate within risk appetite and governance requirements through effective controls, monitoring and issue management.
Support senior leadership in regulatory, audit and risk engagements through clear analysis, reporting and stakeholder management.

Your experience looks like:

3+ years in credit risk or similar experience (e.g. analytics).
Demonstrated experience developing, implementing or optimising credit risk strategies within a lending environment.
Proven ability to independently lead complex analytical investigations and translate insights into strategic recommendations.
Strong stakeholder management skills, across multiple teams and senior stakeholders.
Experience using data to solve complex business problems and drive measurable customer and business outcomes.
Ability to operate autonomously, manage competing priorities and deliver high-quality outcomes in a fast-paced environment.
Tertiary qualifications in a quantitative discipline such as Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Actuarial Studies, Finance, Engineering or Science.
Analytical capability, any proficiency in SQL, Python, R or SAS will be highly regarded (but not essential).
