Work Location: Port Hedland- – located on the traditional lands of the Kariyarra people.

Roster: 8 Days On /6 Off- FIFO ex Perth or Residential in Port Hedland

We are currently seeking a highly motivated Maintenance Coordinator – Conveyors to join our Port Hedland Operations team. Reporting to the Superintendent Services, this leadership position plays a critical role in ensuring the safe, reliable and efficient performance of conveyor systems that support Fortescue's world-class port operations.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced maintenance professional to lead a high-performing team, influence operational outcomes and contribute to the continuous improvement of one of Australia's largest bulk materials handling operations.

Key Responsibilities

Provide visible safety leadership and foster a culture where everyone goes home safe every day
Coordinate and oversee maintenance activities across conveyor assets to achieve reliability and availability targets
Lead frontline teams and contractors to safely execute planned and corrective maintenance works
Support shutdown planning and execution activities
Monitor asset performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives
Ensure maintenance work is completed in accordance with statutory, operational and company requirements
Build strong working relationships with Operations, Planning, Engineering and contractor partners
Develop team capability through coaching, mentoring and leadership support
Contribute to budget, resource and work management processes

Qualifications and Experience

You will be an engaging and collaborative leader with a strong commitment to safety and operational excellence.

You will also possess:

Demonstrated experience in maintenance leadership or coordination roles within mining, ports, heavy industry or bulk materials handling environments
Strong knowledge of conveyor systems and associated mechanical equipment
Proven ability to lead and motivate diverse teams in a dynamic operational environment
Experience managing contractors and multiple stakeholders
Sound understanding of maintenance planning, scheduling and execution principles
Strong problem-solving, communication and decision-making skills
Trade qualification or relevant technical discipline (highly regarded)
