We have strong relationships with government agencies and private firms, delivering a range of civil and structural construction projects and services including road and drainage maintenance, consulting, resource management, fire preparedness, and more.

THE OPPORTUNITY

JAC Civil is seeking an experienced Concreter with a strong background in civil construction and structural concreting for a permanent, full-time or casual role. Join a market leader in civil infrastructure, working with major clients such as Fraser Coast Regional Council and HQ Plantations.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As our Concreter, you will:

Construct civil concrete structures including formwork, kerb and channel, slabs, footpaths, headwalls, and aprons
Build to design levels and job specifications
Read and interpret plans and drawings to deliver quality outcomes
Operate plant and equipment as needed (holding internal competencies)
Forecast, plan, and complete daily tasks with minimal supervision
Use company tablets for online dockets, timesheets and daily diaries
Work safely and contribute to JACC’s strong safety culture
Mentor others, share experience and support the onsite team

KEY REQUIREMENTS

Certificate III in Concreting or equivalent experience
Minimum 3 years’ concreting or leading hand experience (civil preferred, non-mining)
Proven ability to work independently and in teams
Sound knowledge of formwork and finishing techniques
Ability to meet project targets and production goals
Current QLD driver’s licence (MR minimum)
Construction White Card or willing to obtain
Physically fit and able to work across various site conditions
Commitment to safety, quality and teamwork
