Full Job Description

Are you a tech-savvy individual with a passion for fintech innovation? Our client, a leading financial services & exchange group, is in search of a Manager of Technology/Lead C# Engineer. Head quartered in Sydney, and with offices across Asia, this small but successful organisation owns Financial Exchanges, Brokerages, Funds and Capital Management firms, as well as a thriving Loans and Real Estate Investment businesses. This is a unique opportunity for a mission-driven individual to take ownership of implementing advanced technology and data solutions to drive the group's vision and objectives.

Responsibilities:

Technology Strategy & Integration - Lead the Technology/Software strategy for stock exchange and trading platforms, integrating innovative technologies like blockchain and AI within required timelines.
Stakeholder Collaboration - Partner with business stakeholders to identify technology needs, provide expert solutions, and lead the implementation process.
Technology Leadership - Identify, evaluate, and analyse technology solutions and business applications.
Architectural Guidance - Define IT architecture to support business strategies and develop policies in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Vendor Management - Manage vendor relationships, conduct risk assessments, and ensure compliance with corporate standards.
Risk Management - Coordinate IT security and risk management initiatives, ensuring infrastructure compliance with internal and external standards.

Qualifications:

Educational Background - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or equivalent work experience in low-latency and high-performing environments.
Strategic Thinking - Ability to develop strategic recommendations that balance business needs with available resources.
Technical Expertise - Hands-on experience across various technologies and modern development methodologies, including C# .Net
Proactive Approach - A self-starter with excellent time management skills, capable of managing multiple priorities and driving initiatives to completion.
Passion for Innovation - Strong interest in fintech trends and their impact on the industry, with the ability to execute innovative solutions.

Requirements:

Previous experience leading the design, development and implementation of sophisticated technology platforms, utilising the .Net stack
Experience within stock exchange, stockbroking, CFDs, FX, crypto exchange, or other trading platforms.
Deep understanding of financial services and capital markets, particularly in stock exchange or trading platform environments.
Familiarity with modern computing trends such as blockchain, AI technologies, etc. and their applications within financial services.
