The Opportunity – Start a Career in Vegetation Management
As part of our Ground Crew team, you'll work alongside experienced Vegetation Workers and Arborists maintaining vegetation around critical infrastructure throughout the Perth Metro area.
No previous arborist or vegetation management experience is required. We provide on-the-job training, support and development opportunities to help you build your skills and progress within the business.
What You'll Be Doing
- Assisting with vegetation management and tree maintenance activities
- Pruning, cutting and removing branches and vegetation
- Operating chainsaws, chippers and other vegetation management equipment (where trained and authorised)
- Identifying and reporting hazards and safety concerns
- Working closely with team members to ensure safe and efficient work practices
- Supporting crews across a variety of projects throughout the Perth Metro area
Is This Role Right for You?
This role involves physically demanding outdoor work in a variety of weather conditions and environments.
To be successful, you'll need:
- A strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Good physical fitness and the ability to undertake manual outdoor work daily
- The ability to work safely as part of a team
- Clear communication skills
- Reliability, punctuality and a positive attitude
- A commitment to maintaining a drug and alcohol-free workplace
- A valid manual driver's licence
Desirable Qualifications
While not essential, the following will be highly regarded:
- Construction White Card
- MR or HR Driver's Licence
- First Aid and CPR Certification
- Previous labouring, landscaping, horticulture, construction or outdoor work experience
