The Opportunity:

4-5 months

This is an opportunity to join an organisation in the mining sector

About You:

You are an experienced Employment lawyer with specialist Employee Relations expertise
You have strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks including the Fair Work Act, National Employment Standards, modern awards, discrimination laws and workplace health and safety obligations
You are experienced dealing with employment regulators including the Fair Work Ombudsman and IR Commission
You have the ability to monitor legislative changes and industry best practices, recommending updates to policies and procedures
You have experience advising across the full employee lifecycle
You have experience managing complex employment law matters in large organisations and have the ability to influence, negotiate and simplify complex legal matters
You have strong commercial awareness and risk management capability
You have strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills
You have experience operating at a senior leadership level
You are comfortable liaising with multiple internal stakeholders and teams
You have the ability to manage external facing issues
You have the ability to hit the ground running and work autonomously
You have a minimum of 6 years' experience
You have the ability to understand and adapt to the needs of the organisation
A current practising certificate is not essential
You have the right to live and work in Australia
