Are you a skilled analyst who can turn complex data into meaningful insights?
We’re looking for a Business Analyst to join the Evaluation and Engagement team within Strategic Communications and Engagement. In this role, you’ll support the delivery of data-driven insights, reporting and evaluation activities that help shape stakeholder engagement, inform strategic decisions, and strengthen understanding of the Department’s impact across the Western Australian community.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with data, building strong stakeholder relationships, and developing reports and dashboards that support evidence-based decision-making.
This is a fixed term position available for immediate filling for a period of 12 months, with the possibility of extension(s) or permanency.
We’re seeking someone with:
- experience as a business or data analyst, with strong research, analytical and problem-solving skills, or experience in research or evaluation
- experience developing meaningful reports and dashboards using tools such as Power BI, Tableau or similar
- sound understanding of data structures and database software for analysing and reporting data
- strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain and visualise complex information to non-technical audiences
- the ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines and work with minimal supervision
Successful applicants will be required to hold or obtain a current National Police Clearance prior to commencement.

SC3) Strong understanding of data structures and the use of database software for analysing, modelling, documenting, and reporting data.
