Full Job Description

The Disability Support Worker is responsible for implementing training and support services aimed at maximizing the living, employment, social and recreational skills of people with a disability. Community inclusion, independence, decision making and personal choice should be promoted through these supports, with a focus on individual needs.

Skills and Certificates:

First Aid (within last 2 year, cause every 3 year renewal needed)

CPR (within last 2 year, cause every 3 year renewal needed)

Manual Handling for a health care worker (within the last 2 year)

It can be done online training. One of the provider link below but you can do it from any provider

Police Check (within last 1 year)

Work with children check ( every five years)

NDIS Worker Orientation Module Online training (No cost)(Please follow this link to the Worker Orientation Module that is a requirement under the Standards.)

COVID-19 infection control training https://www.health.gov.au/resources/apps-and-tools/covid-19-infection-control-training

Cert iii or cert. iv in age/disability/ individual care and/AIN

2 id (Driving license and passport or Medicare care etc)

Copy of your visa if you are not Australian resident or citizen
