We're looking for a dynamic People Engagement and Culture (PEC) BP to join our team - someone who brings energy, professionalism and a customer focused approach to everything they do.
About the role
St. Basil’s People, Engagement and Culture team is seeking applications from skilled and experienced candidates who are interested in joining our team as a PEC Business Partner. The PEC Business Partner is responsible for the delivery of high-quality response support across a range of PEC services, administration, compliance, procedural and operational tasks. In addition, the role also provides first level HR support to all organisational levels and escalates queries as required.
Skills and Experiences:
Key Responsibilities
Management of formal employment documents for employees, relating to employment lifecycle events, such as employment contracts, promotion / transfer letters, changes to employment conditions, exits and other documentation as required
Provide effective HR advice to all levels of the organisation on employment related matters including leave management, IR/ER, St Basil’s Enterprise Agreement, conditions of employment and workers compensation.
Provide advice and information on HR processes, procedures and compliance matters.
Support the broader PEC team as required, including coverage for leave; workload support and other project initiatives to achieve the PEC strategy.
Liaise with the Recovery at Work Coordinator on all workers compensation claims and managing internal workers compensation processes
Maintain and monitor compliance ensuring all employee compliance requirements are met and to communicate regularly with programs and business units to ensure compliance requirements are not breached.
Manage St Basil’s Employee Referral Program ensuring accurate data collection and timely recognition of successful referrals.
Build an open and effective two-way communication process with managers and staff in order to effectively respond to matters.
Manage the uniform ordering process being first point of contact and to also ensure new staff receive uniforms in a timely manner.
Support workforce to maintain accreditation standards by complying with all relevant legislation and guidelines and administrative requirements.
Support formal complaints and grievance procedures management when required.
Key Knowledge and Experience
Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or Management.
Extensive experience in HR (5+ years) preferably in health care or aged care environment.
Strong understanding of employee lifecycle activities, with highly developed skills in managing and supporting such activities to ensure compliance and positive employee experience
Proven ability to interpret and apply Enterprise Agreements and/or other industrial agreements, providing advice to management and employees.
A proactive, professional with strong interpersonal skills and a customer-focused approach able to work with a broad range of people from varying backgrounds.
Demonstrated experience with business partnering, case management of ER/IR issues and comfortable with interpretation and application of relevant legislation and regulations.
Well-developed organisational and administrative skills including strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritise and manage own workload.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to effectively deal with sensitive issues whilst maintaining a high degree of confidentiality.
Excellent skills in Microsoft Office, organisational, analytical and problem-solving skills
