About the role..
An exciting opportunity is available for a motivated and experienced Physiotherapist to join Royal Rehab LifeWorks Ryde as a
Senior Physiotherapist (Lvl 3). This permanent full-time role is ideal for a passionate clinician looking to take the next step in their career within a supportive and collaborative multidisciplinary environment.
In this rewarding role, you’ll deliver high-quality, evidence-based physiotherapy services while playing a key role in leadership, mentoring and service development initiatives. Working closely with clients and the wider team, you’ll help drive positive rehabilitation outcomes and contribute to innovative, client-centred care that empowers individuals to achieve their goals and maximise independence.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing clinical leadership, mentoring, and support to physiotherapy staff, including junior, casual, and leave relief clinicians as necessary.
- Responding to requests for clinical expertise/information.
- Supporting operational managers in management of physiotherapy resources to meet service demands and performance targets/program KPIs.
- Leading and coordinating physiotherapy discipline initiatives and quality improvement projects.
- Facilitating physiotherapy team meetings and case conferences with other clinical seniors.
- Supporting Professional Leader in coordinating and supporting student placements and clinical education.
- Contributing to service planning and development.
- Contributing to recruitment and onboarding processes for clinical staff as required.
- Attending Centre-wide physiotherapy senior meetings to provide feedback on service delivery, staffing, challenges and achievements; provide support to and collaboration with other senior therapists and provide feedback from external forums.
About you..
We seek a self-motivated and friendly individual with:
Essential Criteria:
- Demonstrated commitment to developing leadership capability, with proven experience in coordinating and/or leading physiotherapists and/or allied health assistants.
- Hydrotherapy experience with a competent level of swimming to support clients in water
- Proven experience leading quality improvement and service development initiatives that enhance clinical outcomes and service delivery.
- Highly developed problem-solving, organisational, and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise competing demands in a dynamic clinical environment.
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to engage effectively with multidisciplinary teams, clients, and stakeholders.
- Strong commitment to evidence-based practice, clinical excellence, and ongoing professional development.
- Demonstrated ability to support and implement operational changes, including contributing to service improvements, and change management initiatives.
- Current unrestricted C class driver’s licence, good driving record and own car (Note you may be required to
travel to visits in your own vehicle. Mileage/ petrol costs can be claimed)
