A place to make a difference:
We are seeking casual group facilitators to deliver Journey of Hope as part of our Recovery response to the Bondi Terrorist attack Sunday December 15th, 2025. In these flexible casual roles till mid November 2026, you’ll work as part of our Journey of Hope team in Sydney to help us create lasting change for children everywhere. You’ll deliver engaging online and in-person sessions to young people aged 12-18, with flexible opportunities available from one day to multiple days per week. Sessions are generally delivered Monday to Friday, with some occasional evening work required.
You will make a difference by:
- Delivering Journey of Hope sessions together with a Facilitator to primary school-aged children, as well as running sessions with parents and caregivers
- Ensuring quality service delivery in-line with Journey of Hope guidelines, contractual requirements and stakeholder expectations
- Ensuring children are connected with appropriate services as needed.
- Ensuring timely and accurate monitoring, evaluation and reporting on inputs and outcomes
- Consulting regularly with local communities, professionals, service providers and referral services to ensure our programs / services are meeting local needs

You respond calmly to crisis situations, and you have credible expertise in working with children of a range of ages who have experienced traumatic events. Your strong interpersonal skills mean you’ll work seamlessly in partnership with a Facilitator, and you’re committed to the highest standards of service delivery. Finally, you’re an independent self-starter who is happy to work remotely when not delivering programs.
This role requires:
- Demonstrated experience in working with children and families who have experienced trauma
- Significant facilitation/teaching experience with the ability to deliver information to children
- High level of communication and organisational skills
- A degree or diploma qualification in a relevant field would be highly desirable
- Strong level of computer literacy
- Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel in the region

If successful in the role, you will need to undertake MARAM training and provide evidence of completion.
