Administration Officer - Clinical Trials Research Officer
Full time - 1 year contract | 5 Weeks annual leave and a monthly ADO

About the role
Join a world-leading research team at Turning Point, Australia’s national centre for addiction treatment, training, and research. We are seeking a passionate Research Officer to support pioneering studies that transform lives.
In this role, you’ll work alongside top researchers on clinical trials, ground-breaking pilot studies, and qualitative research exploring addiction treatment and recovery. Your work will contribute to real-world impact, from testing novel interventions to understanding lived experiences of addiction.

About you
To be successful in this role you will possess:
Certificate or Diploma level qualifications with several years' experience, or equivalent work experience
Demonstrated knowledge of ICH Guideline for Good Clinical Practice, national statement and previous experience working with clinical trials coordination and/or specific clinical expertise in desired area of research
Clinical and/or qualitative research skills
High level of attention to detail, including accurate scheduling, data collection and record keeping
Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team, and to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to achieve project outcomes
Analytic skills, and an ability to use initiative and exercise sound judgement
Computing skills, including proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office programs, statistical analysis software packages (e.g., SPSS, Stata, R, JASP), and the Endnote referencing system.
Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice). Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.
Those that are offered and/or start between January and April do not require an up to date vaccination for Influenza to progress providing they are aware of its requirement later in the year. Those that are offered and/or start between May and December require the up to date Influenza vaccination prior to offer.
