Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Technical Delivery Manager to lead the delivery and operational management of a complex application support environment. The role is responsible for the deployment of enhancement and application modernisation, improving project transition governance, and strengthening technical ownership of solutions delivered in partnership with external vendors. The successful candidate will combine strong Azure and infrastructure capability, delivery leadership, and practical software delivery understanding.

Technical Delivery Leadership – Ability to lead delivery in a software-enabled environment with sufficient understanding of development and architecture and integration with bespoke application.
Azure & Infrastructure Delivery Expertise – Strong experience across Azure, platform services, and environment management including certificates.
BAU Delivery & Transition Governance Leadership – Proven ability to support BAU operations and enforce structured project transition and acceptance governance.

Key Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end delivery of application enhancements ensuring stability and service quality.
Manage operational workload including incidents, changes, and certificate management.

Architect and evolve the core tech stack for the platform (Azure stack).

Establish and enforce handover and acceptance criteria for incoming projects.
Implement governance controls and transition checklists.
Provide technical oversight across Azure and application environments.
Collaborate with architects and vendors to improve solution ownership.
Manage stakeholder and vendor relationships, improving accountability and documentation standards.
Support team capability development and workforce planning.

Required Experience & Skills

Strong experience in Microsoft Azure, infrastructure, and DevOps environments.
Experience with certificate management and operational platform services.
Extensive Development experience in Microsoft .Net, SOAP, REST/API
Proven leadership in IT service delivery and application support.
Strong transition and governance experience in service acceptance.
Ability to manage high-demand operational environments.
Excellent stakeholder and vendor management capability.

Desirable Experience

• Experience balancing BAU support with project delivery.
• Exposure to managed services and vendor-led delivery environments.
• Experience implementing governance frameworks and delivery controls.

Success Profile

The ideal candidate will bring broad technical depth, demonstrate strong delivery discipline, operate effectively under pressure, and drive accountability across teams and vendors. They will play a key role in enabling structured ownership of application services and improving overall delivery maturity.

PLEASE NOTE: Australian Citizenship is mandatory. Current or reinstatable AGSVA NV1 Security clearance required.
