2026 Endocrinology Advanced Trainee (September start)
Limited-term position until the end of the 2026 clinical year

About the role
This position is available at Maroondah Hospital to fulfil the remainder of the 2026 Clinical Year training program, commencing on 14 September 2026.
This role provides broad exposure to Endocrinology across a diverse range of inpatient and outpatient services, including:
Inpatient Endocrinology and consultative services
On-site and off-site outpatient clinics
Multidisciplinary Type 2 Diabetes care through the community-based IDEAS Clinic
General Endocrinology clinic
Metabolic Bone clinic
Monthly evening Type 1 Diabetes clinic
The successful applicant will benefit from a strong educational program, including weekly unit meetings, journal clubs, Endocrine Roundtable and ESAP educational sessions. Additional learning opportunities include monthly Thyroid Cancer multidisciplinary meetings (MDMs) and a fortnightly Monash Partners inter-hospital meeting.
On-call responsibilities are shared one in four among the four Endocrinology registrars.
This is an excellent opportunity to gain comprehensive Endocrinology experience and would be particularly well suited to anyone considering pursuing Endocrinology training.

Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice). Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.
Those that are offered and/or start between January and April do not require an up to date vaccination for Influenza to progress providing they are aware of its requirement later in the year. Those that are offered and/or start between May and December require the up to date Influenza vaccination prior to offer.
