Full-Time 1.0 EFT | Ongoing contract of employment.

TL $90,879 - $128,887 per annum pro rata + 12% super + leave loading (dependent on qualifications and experience).

The Electrical Department at Moorabbin delivers pre-apprenticeship and apprenticeship programs in electrotechnology, with a focus on industry-aligned, practical training. The campus also offers specialised programs in renewables and engineering, using industry-standard equipment and modern teaching technologies.
We are seeking experienced, qualified A Grade Electricians to deliver Electrotechnology training across Certificate II and Certificate III programs. You’ll share your industry expertise through hands-on training in electrical installation, testing, fault finding, safety and emerging technologies. Experience in renewable energy systems is highly regarded, along with a commitment to supporting diverse learners and achieving strong student outcomes.
As a Teacher – Electrotechnology, you will:

Deliver hands-on, industry-aligned electrical training across Certificate II and Certificate III programs using engaging teaching methods.

Develop quality learning and assessment resources that support diverse learners across workshop, classroom, and workplace settings.

Support students throughout their learning journey, from induction and assessment through to progress feedback and completion.

Collaborate with industry, colleagues, and stakeholders to ensure training is current, compliant, and aligned with industry practices, including renewable energy.

Contribute to continuous improvement, course development, compliance, and accurate record-keeping.
To be successful, you’ll have:

Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122 or equivalent predecessor/successor).

Degree, diploma or certificate in Electrical/Electrotechnology (or equivalent) at least to the level being delivered and assessed, with a current electrician licence and required registration.

Experience designing and delivering high-quality, industry-relevant VET programs for diverse learners.

Strong contemporary teaching skills, including digital tools, ICT and flexible learning approaches.

Learner-centred approach with a focus on student success and continuous improvement.

Excellent organisation and communication skills, with a strong focus on compliance, accurate record-keeping and deadlines.

Collaborative and adaptable approach, with the ability to engage industry and stakeholders and contribute to team goals.
WWCC and Police Check
Appointment to this position is dependent on obtaining a Victorian ‘employee’ Working with Children Check, and a valid Police Check within the last 12 months.
