Business Development Manager MICM Real Estate – Southbank Unlimited commission potential and a strong internal lead pipeline
Are you a driven, relationship focused Business Development Manager who thrives on winning new business and building long term client relationships? MICM is looking for an experienced BDM to join our high performing New Business team and take ownership of growth across Melbourne’s inner city property management portfolio.

This is a true growth role suited to someone who loves prospecting, nurturing networks, and converting opportunities into new managements. With over 30 years as Melbourne’s leading inner city specialists, MICM offers a strong brand, a steady flow of warm leads, and the backing of a full service real estate business.

About the Role
As our Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for sourcing, securing, and onboarding new property management clients. You will work closely with our New Business Manager, Sales team, and long standing developer relationships to convert opportunities into new managements.

Your day will be a mix of prospecting, meeting rental providers, conducting rental appraisals, and presenting MICM’s services with confidence and professionalism. You will be the face of MICM for new clients and play a key role in growing our portfolio.

In this role, you will:

Convert warm leads from our Sales and internal teams into new management listings.
Prospect, network, and build referral relationships to generate new business.
Maintain strong relationships with builders, developers, and financial planners.
Manage a database of potential clients and maintain disciplined follow up.
Attend appointments with prospective rental providers and present MICM’s services.
Hold open for inspections, assess applications, and prepare lease documentation when required.
Ensure listed properties are well presented and ready for leasing.
Provide monthly reporting on activity and performance against KPIs.
Work collaboratively with leasing, marketing, and property management teams.
Ensure all actions comply with the Estate Agents Act and company standards.

What We Are Looking For

Current Agent’s Representative Certificate or Real Estate Agent Licence.
Demonstrated experience in Property Management with proven business development capability.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport quickly.
High level organisational skills, accuracy, and attention to detail.
Confidence conducting rental appraisals, inspections, and client presentations.
Ability to interpret real estate legislation and industry terminology.
A proactive, self driven mindset with strong negotiation and problem solving skills.
