Your mission starts here at Raytheon Australia! Right now, we are seeking a bright and energised Systems and Cyber Security Engineer. Join our team of outstanding people with expertise across a wide variety of disciplines and position yourself at the forefront of tomorrow’s capabilities.

This role is for a Systems and Cyber Security Engineer, within the Projects Integrated Project Team. Reporting directly to the Senior Principal Systems and Cyber Engineer, you will join an exciting project focused new and innovative engineering activities, developing and supporting the Certification, Accreditation and Cyber worthiness program for the development of new critical defence systems. As a proactive and collaborative engineer, you will engage directly with key stakeholders as you work to introduce new technology to Australia's submarine fleet.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in the development and management of key security documentation and in the assessment and authorisation activities
Work with security, engineering and system designers to develop security designs and implement into environment
Support the conduct of security working groups to discuss risks and controls with stakeholders
Support the conduct of threat risk and vulnerability assessments
Conduct routine security administration, monitoring and incident response

Skills, Experience and Qualifications

Certifications in Cyber Security or relevant IT field.
Structured approach to issue identification and resolution under guidance; demonstration of clear documentation and reporting skills.
Knowledge of the ACSC Information Security Manual (ISM), Defence Security Principles Framework (DSPF), and the Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF), and applies these in practical security control design and assessment
Understanding of network architectures and security controls such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, segmentation, and secure network design principles.
Understanding of security tools and technologies, such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, Multi Factor Authentication (MFA), Endpoint Security and security information and event management systems (SIEMs).
Minimum 2 years experience in a similar role.
Demonstrated ability to collaborate with stakeholders at client, peer, supplier and senior leadership levels.
Available to undertake travel where necessary to meet requirements of the role.
Applicants must be eligible to obtain an Australian Defence Security Clearance to Negative Vetting 1 level.

Desirable

A University degree in Cyber Security, Technology, or relevant Engineering discipline.
4 years experience in similar role.
Experience working within defence or a highly regulated industry.
Understanding of Windows and Linux administration and security features, including access control, system hardening, logging, and integrity monitoring, and the ability to analyse and respond to related security issues.
Experience with DevSecOps environments
Experience in Systems Engineering processes, involving one or more of the following: requirements definition, requirements management, analysis, design, integration and verification
