Working closely with the Financial Controller and Village Accounting team, you'll support technical accounting activities, financial reporting obligations and continuous improvement initiatives. What You Will Be Working On
Your focus will be on supporting technical accounting, governance, reporting and continuous improvement activities across the Finance function.
This includes:
- Preparing and reviewing technical accounting papers and recommendations
- Supporting finance policies, procedures and governance frameworks
- Managing reconciliations and consolidation processes
- Supporting annual financial statements and reporting obligations
- Assisting with the resolution of legacy reporting and reconciliation issues
- Identifying opportunities for automation and process improvement
- Working with Finance and Digital & Technology teams to improve reporting processes
- Supporting audit activities and year-end deliverables
- Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across Finance
What Type Of Person Will Be Successful
You'll bring strong technical accounting capability, attention to detail and a practical approach to problem solving.
You'll also have:
- CA or CPA qualification
- Strong technical accounting and financial reporting experience
- Knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards, taxation and corporate reporting requirements
- Experience managing month-end close processes and reconciliations
- Advanced Excel capability
- Experience with medium to large ERP systems, ideally Microsoft Dynamics 365
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- A continuous improvement mindset
Experience within retirement living, property or similarly asset-intensive industries will be highly regarded.
