About the role:

Reporting to the Director Policy and Regulation, the Program Manager - Landfills leads a team that develops and oversees the delivery of high-quality policy and regulation projects, advice, and initiatives in relation to landfills.

In this role you will:

Lead the delivery of landfill regulatory and policy initiatives, including the design, development and implementation of regulatory approaches.
Develop and implement program and project management plans.
Lead the development of regulatory instruments and guidance, including compliance codes and supporting materials.
Embed a strong program management discipline within the landfill program of work.
Lead complex stakeholder engagement and negotiation.

Skills and experience:

A relevant tertiary degree or qualifications in project management, policy development, program management, or equivalent.
Senior experience and a record of achievement in the delivery of large-scale change initiatives, preferably within Government.
Knowledge of contemporary project management methodologies.
Proven ability to apply relevant government legislation, regulations, reporting directives and procedures, to achieve optimal organisational outcomes.
Advanced management skills and demonstrated capability to plan, monitor and deliver multiple concurrent projects / programs
