About the role
The College is seeking to appoint a Development Manager to play a critical role in developing strong relationships with current and prospective donors to secure major and regular gifts which support the delivery of the College's student scholarship program, improvements to the College's learning environments, and developing avenues for financial support for students experiencing hardship.

The successful Development Manager will be effective and impactful when distributing workflow between one-on-one scholarships, execution of appeals and fundraising campaigns and generally contributing to the diverse, vibrant and inclusive Newington community.

About you
We have deliberately not provided set and narrow selection criteria. However, it would be likely that the successful candidate will have:

Excellent relationship Management and interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with a wide range of stakeholders
Superb oral and written communication skills to communicate Newington's priorities to a wide range of audiences, including major donors, corporate representatives, senior staff and volunteers
Relevant experience in major gifts fundraising, particularly with experience with gifts higher than $100,000, preferred
Experience with CRM systems and tailored donor communications
Demonstrated attention to detail, working accountably under own initiative to strict deadlines, and managing multiple priorities and projects simultaneously
Ability to work independently and as part of a committed team
Commitment to Newington College’s values and a working style that reflects these
