We are seeking a strategic and commercially minded Head of Marketing, Communications and Advocacy to lead an integrated approach to marketing, communications, advocacy and fundraising at Uniting Communities. This is an exciting opportunity to shape how we engage our communities, strengthen our brand, grow our services, and build our profile and influence.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the development and delivery of integrated marketing, communications and brand strategies that strengthen awareness, engagement and service growth.
- Drive high-quality internal and external communications, media engagement, advocacy and reputation management, including crisis and issues communications.
- Partner with service areas to align marketing activity with organisational priorities, customer needs and growth opportunities.
- Build and grow fundraising, donor engagement, philanthropic partnerships and corporate relationships to support priority services and initiatives.
- Strengthen Uniting Communities' brand, ensuring clear, consistent messaging and positioning across all channels and audiences.
- Lead, develop and support a high-performing team while establishing strong governance, planning and performance frameworks across the function.
About you
- Demonstrated success leading marketing, brand and communications functions in complex organisations.
- Ability to translate organisational priorities into clear marketing, brand and engagement approaches that deliver outcomes.
- Experience developing campaigns, strengthening brand positioning and driving customer or community engagement.
- Strong communication, stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, including experience working with senior leaders and external partners.
- Experience managing media, reputation and issues management in a complex environment.
- Exposure to fundraising, donor engagement, partnerships or philanthropic initiatives.
- A data-informed approach to decision-making, with the ability to translate insights into practical action.
