Full Job Description

At Ashurst Reach we have seen consistent demand from Ashurst clients seeking IT lawyers in Sydney. If you are an IT lawyer with any of the following skills and you are a seasoned consultant/contract lawyer looking for a fresh approach, or a lawyer thinking of taking the leap to flex-working, get in touch with our Senior Talent Manager, Fiona Craig, to find out more.

Skills and Experience needed:

You are a strong IT specialist
You have technology and communications experience including law related to privacy and data security as they relate to technology and/or telecommunications matters, technology contracts, general contract law issues and intellectual property
You have experience with large technology contracts, procurement and tenders, including drafting and negotiation
You have the ability to manage negotiations with multiple vendors for large IT/technology outsourcing projects
You have experience with SaaS, infrastructure agreements and cloud based work
You are commercially focussed and able to make judgement calls and recommendations
You have a minimum of 6 years' experience

You have the ability to hit the ground running, work autonomously and prioritise

As well as excellent legal experience you will need:

The right to live and work in Australia (and be based here) and hold or be able to obtain a current practising certificate
Willingness to engage with Ashurst via an Incorporated Legal Practice or casual employment
