We have an opportunity for an Associate to join our Property practice group in Sydney, working closely with Partners Wayne Kaplan, Theo Casimatis, Leon Sakaris and Emanuel Oros.
About the team and the work
The Sydney property team is a core element of the firms national property service line comprised of partners, special counsel, senior associates, associates, junior lawyers, and paralegals.
This role offers a wide variety of experience, working with all partners and members of the team and including direct autonomous interaction with clients and our larger national property team and firm.
All of the Partners are all well respected in their fields and you will have direct contact with partners in your role together with our special counsel who all actively provide one-on-one mentoring with a clear focus on your career development and progression.
The role involves traditional property work including acquisitions, disposals, large, medium and boutique off the plan developments and leasing work (for landlords and multiple national tenants), as well as complex joint venture arrangements, large scale property development, purchase and sale of businesses, strata renewal projects, property financing as well as property focused advice and dispute work such as lease, strata, conveyancing, easements and s.88K application disputes.
Clients include national high profile ASX listed companies, high profile developers and landowners, Australian Government bodies, foreign Government bodies, and listed and un-listed funds and financiers.

About you
The ideal candidate will:
have an excellent grounding in Property Law with 3+ years' PQE experience
have a strong understanding of the NSW property legislation and processes
have the ability to manage files end-to-end with minimal supervision
have sound technical knowledge with experience working with PEXA
be a team player who is organised and solutions focused with the ability to manage the needs of the groups high level client base.
dispute experience is welcomed, but not a requirement for the role.
