About the Role
The Senior Project Officer (Boards & Committees) is a key governance role supporting the Local Land Services (LLS) Board and the Local Land Services Finance, Risk and Audit Committee (FRAC).
This role works at pace in a complex environment to ensure Boards are well supported, informed and operating within a strong governance framework. It requires sound judgement, attention to detail, and the ability to anticipate issues and manage competing priorities across multiple stakeholders, including the CEO, Board Chair and senior executives.
You will operate with a high level of autonomy, providing accurate, timely and well‑considered advice and outputs that support effective decision-making and meet statutory and policy requirements.
Key responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Lead Board and Committee Operations: Plan and deliver the annual Board and committee cycle, including forward scheduling, papers, logistics, and travel, ensuring high‑quality outputs within tight timeframes.
- Provide Governance and Secretariat Support: Produce key governance documents (minutes, actions, resolutions, reports) and manage approvals, ensuring accurate records and effective Board decision-making.
- Maintain Governance Framework and Compliance: Oversee development and review of governance materials (charters, policies, workplans), ensuring alignment with legislative and NSW Government requirements.
- Manage Records, Stakeholders and Business Operations: Maintain governance registers and records, coordinate Board recruitment and member engagement, and support budget tracking while working across stakeholders to meet deadlines and expectations.
About You
You will be a highly motivated professional with proven project and people management experience. You will have the ability to manage senior stakeholder and client relationships. You will be a strong and confident communicator and can manage competing priorities and interests while maintaining a professional demeanour and ‘can do’ attitude
