VICTORIA POINT - GENERAL PRACTITIONER

PERMANENT GENERAL PRACTITIONER POSITION IMMEDIATE START: DWS AVAILABLE

We are expanding rapidly and are now offering an ongoing permanent position to the right candidate, who will benefit from high earning potential due to an established patient base.

With over 17 Medical Centres across Queensland, Medicross provides comprehensive primary healthcare and related services within our network of medical centres.

ABOUT THE PRACTICE

Medicross Victoria Point is a modern, state of the art doctor’s surgery. Medicross’ core business is to provide quality comprehensive healthcare to our patients with the focus on quality medicine and excellent client services.

Medicross Victoria Point is located inside a very busy shopping centre joining onto a Priceline pharmacy. Victoria Point is a beautiful bayside suburb that provides you with an opportunity to work and live in paradise. When you join our team at Victoria Point you will be supported by a full time practice manager, full time registered nurses, receptionists and a range of allied health staff. The Surgery also offer an in-house pathology service for the patients. Medicross Victoria Point fully computerised surgery with state of the art facilities.

ROLE DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Attending individual patients and assessing, advising and making legible records of the assessment and management of the patients.
Providing skilled health assessment and treatment by diagnosing patients to determine the nature of disorders and illnesses.
Ordering diagnostic tests and clinical examinations and conducting procedures in accordance with the practice’s procedure.
Interpreting findings to assist diagnosis followed by prescribing medications and administering treatments. Monitor progress and patients’ response to treatment.
Refer patients appropriately to specialist practitioners, organise hospital admissions, or refer them to other health providers.
Monitoring patient’s overall health by advising them on diet, exercise and treatment of disease and disorders.
Maintaining, recording, and exchanging medical information with other relevant providers.
Reporting births, deaths and notifiable diseases to the relevant government or agencies in accordance with the health policies.
Attending medical team meetings and actively participating in the review and development of the professional standards of the medical team.

REQUIREMENTS OF THE ROLE

Must be a registered Medical Practitioner with the skills and qualifications acceptable to the applicable Medical Boards and the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
At least 5 years’ experience in general practice/general medicine.
Must hold the FRACGP certificate.

Understanding Workcover and Workplace Health and Safety Acts/Regulations as they apply

Role Reports to

CEO of the Medicross Group.

WHAT’S ON OFFER:

Up to 70% of billings and/or a minimum of $250,000.00 per annum
Full-time registered nurse, practice manager, receptionists, and allied health staff.
Full clinical autonomy to practice medicine the way you wish.
Good patient following and scope to build own specialisation.
