Full Job Description

At Syntechtron, we design, manufacture and service vibratory feeders and bulk materials handling equipment used across the mining and industrial sectors throughout Australia.

We're looking for a practical and people-focused Workshop Supervisor to lead our skilled team in Blacktown. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll coordinate daily workshop operations, mentor tradespeople and apprentices, and help drive a safe, organised and high-performing workshop culture.

What you'll be doing

Lead and support a team of tradespeople and apprentices.
Coordinate daily workshop activities to ensure jobs are delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
Work closely with office staff to manage priorities and customer requirements.
Support assembly, testing, servicing and fault-finding activities on industrial equipment.
Promote strong housekeeping, 5S and continuous improvement initiatives.
Maintain a strong focus on WHS and lead by example.
Assist with workshop planning, stock coordination and resource management.

About You

Essential

Previous experience leading teams in a workshop, manufacturing or industrial environment.
Strong organisational and communication skills.
Commitment to safety and continuous improvement.
Ability to coordinate multiple priorities and support a diverse team.

Highly regarded

Trade qualification or Electrical Licence.
Experience in mining, manufacturing or bulk materials handling industries.
Knowledge of 5S principles.
Experience with vibratory feeders, conveyors, hoppers or similar industrial equipment.
