Facilities Shift Engineer - Norwest (24/7 Roster)
Location: Norwest, NSW 2153
Roster: 4 days on, 4 days off (includes weekends and public holidays)
Security Clearance: Australian Citizens only - NV1 clearance required

We are seeking an experienced Facilities Shift Engineer to support round-the-clock operations at our state-of-the-art Norwest site. In this role, you will play a critical part in maintaining mission-critical infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and uptime for a leading data centre facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot critical electrical and mechanical systems (UPS, chillers, generators, CRAC units, etc.).
- Facilitate both scheduled and emergency maintenance with contractors and vendors to ensure uptime, SLA compliance, certification standards, and adherence to safety protocols.
- Supervise contractors and vendors to maintain high standards of quality and safety.
- Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Emergency Operating Procedures (EOPs), and Method of Procedures (MOPs).
- Monitor Building Management Systems (BMS), track energy efficiency, and respond to fault alarms.
- Conduct daily facility inspections and report on system performance and asset condition.
- Support audits, compliance reporting, and incident investigations.
- Promote a strong safety culture, ensuring full compliance with OH&S regulations.
- Collaborate with internal teams and interface with customers on operational issues.
- Maintain accurate records, performance data, and vendor reports.
About You
- Australian Citizen (mandatory for NV1 clearance eligibility).
- Trade license or equivalent technical qualification (Elec, HVAC, IT network or Comms)
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a mission-critical or data centre environment.
- Strong technical knowledge of electrical/mechanical systems and experience with BMS and DCIM platforms.
- Confident communicator with excellent troubleshooting and reporting skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
