The role

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Legal Assistant to provide administrative support to our Melbourne Dispute Resolution team. This is a full‑time, permanent role supporting a collaborative team, where you'll play a key role in the smooth day-to-day running of the practice.

Some of your responsibilities will include:

Proactive diary and inbox management
Coordinating meetings and travel
Liaising with clients and internal stakeholders to build strong working relationships
Drafting correspondence and assisting with document preparation and amendments
Matter and file management (including opening and closing matters and maintaining filing systems)
Client billing and reporting
Reconciliation of corporate expenses
General administrative and ad hoc support

What you'll bring

To be successful in this role, you will bring experience in a similar position and demonstrate:

2+ years' experience as a Legal Assistant (ideally within litigation)
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
A high level of accuracy and attention to detail
An understanding of billing and financial processes
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
A collaborative approach and willingness to support others
Strong communication skills
A proactive mindset and a willingness to take initiative
