There are NO limits to your career: come shape the future and be part of a truly unique global culture at OutSystems!
At OutSystems, we are accelerating digital transformation globally by empowering organizations to build enterprise-grade applications quickly and efficiently. As our presence in ANZ grows rapidly, we are seeking a highly skilled and articulate Senior Solution Architect (Pre-Sales) specializing in Agentic AI and Enterprise Development to join our ANZ team.
This role is a premier opportunity for a seasoned technical professional who wants to elevate their career by combining deep architectural expertise with strategic, business-level impact, helping enterprises navigate the most consequential technology transformation of their careers.
Role Title: Senior Solution Architect (Pre-Sales)
Location: Melbourne OR Sydney (Hybrid)
Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent
Are you watching enterprises fumble their AI strategies and itching to help them get it right? You won't just be selling software; you will be at the frontier of this technological shift. One day you might be demonstrating Agent Workbench to a manufacturing conglomerate automating quality inspections; the next, you are architecting a proof of concept that connects AI agents to a premier bank's core systems via the Model Context Protocol (MCP).
If you are the kind of person who reads about AI architectures for fun, gets frustrated watching enterprises buy point solutions that will become technical debt in 18 months, and wants to be a trusted advisor—not just a demo jockey—this role is for you.
As a Senior Solution Architect, you will serve as the premier technical authority during the enterprise sales cycle. Your day-to-day activities will be dynamic, ranging from delivering high-level strategic pitches to C-level executives to executing hands-on technical proofs.
Trusted Advisory & Strategy: Lead strategic conversations with C-level executives (CIOs/CTOs) about AI adoption, governance, and modernization. Translate emerging technology (agentic AI, multi-agent orchestration, RAG architectures) into tangible business outcomes that customers actually care about.
Technical Evaluation & Evangelism: Act as an IT expert and technology evangelist. Deliver high-impact presentations and interactive workshops that demonstrate the power of Agentic Systems Engineering, building relationships where customers call you before they call anyone else.
Solution Architecture & PoC Execution: Architect and deliver high-value Proof of Concept (PoC) solutions that connect AI agents seamlessly to customers' existing enterprise systems. Deeply analyze complex IT landscapes to advise on solutions that intuitively fit, rather than force, into customer ecosystems.
Public Relations & Brand Advocacy: Represent OutSystems at industry conferences, regional tech communities, and customer summits as a subject matter expert.
Product Feedback & Alignment: Work closely with global Product and Engineering teams to feed local ANZ customer insights and requirements back into the product roadmap.
Partner Enablement: Enable alliance partners to understand, position, and sell OutSystems' agentic AI capabilities effectively, scaling their delivery capabilities in the region.
We are looking for a professional who possesses a rare blend of deep technical acumen, polished presentation skills, and strong business empathy.
Professional Experience: 5 to 8 years of experience in a Pre-Sales Engineering, Solution Architecture, or Enterprise Software role, with meaningful exposure to AI/ML platforms, low-code platforms, or AI-augmented development.
Core Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of modern technical architectures, including web development, APIs, database modeling, and enterprise integration patterns.
Agentic AI & ML Proficiency: Working knowledge of agentic AI concepts (autonomous agents, orchestration patterns, human-in-the-loop vs. human-on-the-loop models). Familiarity with LLMs, prompt engineering, RAG architectures, and Model Context Protocol (MCP).
Communication & Presentation: Exceptional communication skills with a proven track record of translating complex technical concepts into easily understood business terms for a CIO, and immediately pivoting to dive into architecture diagrams with their lead developer.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
Governance & Market Insight (Preferred): Understanding of AI data governance, enterprise security, and compliance requirements specific to regulated industries in Australia and New Zealand.
Platform Experience (Preferred): Hands-on experience with OutSystems ODC, Agent Workbench, or Mentor is highly valued (though we will help you get there).
Travel Flexibility: Willingness to travel within ANZ region for key client engagements as needed.
In 3 months: You are confidently demonstrating Agent Workbench and clearly articulating the Enterprise Context Graph value proposition to regional customers.
In 6 months: You are the go-to expert in your region for customers evaluating OutSystems for AI agent development. Regional sales teams ask for your partnership by name.
In 12 months: You have helped multiple enterprise customers move from AI pilot purgatory to live production, and you are actively shaping how OutSystems talks about agentic AI in the market.
Competitive Compensation: A highly competitive base salary paired with a compelling, performance-driven pre-sales commission/incentive structure.
Health & Wellness: Comprehensive healthcare coverage for you and your dependents.
Financial Security: Statutory retirement benefits including Superannuation.
Work-Life Balance: Flexible working hours, a hybrid work environment, and generous paid annual leave including all major public holidays.
Continuous Growth: Dedicated resources and budget for continuous career development, certifications, and learning.
Global Culture: The opportunity to collaborate within a diverse, inclusive, and globally distributed workplace culture.
