The Division of Perioperative and Critical Care Services is responsible for the provision of both elective and emergency surgical procedures The Operating Suites and Day Procedure Units manage patients' admissions pre and post procedural/operative care; theatre or day procedure intervention and post procedural/operative care.

About you:

Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA

Experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute hospital setting

Possess excellent Perioperative clinical skills relevant to the campuses you are applying for

Must be available on a 7-day rotating roster
Desirable:

A Postgraduate in Perioperative or Peri-Anaesthetic nursing is highly desirable

About the role:
Joan Kirner Theatre is seeking a Registered Nurse with Anaesthetics & PACU, Scrub/Scout experience who is able to work in both areas of theatre.
The Joan Kirner Women's and Children's (JKWC) Operating Suite features four advanced operating rooms and a procedure room, delivering care for elective and emergency cases, including diverse day and multi-day procedures.
Our specialities encompass obstetrics, gynaecology, plastics, orthopaedic, ENT, and general surgery for both adult and paediatric patients.
About you:

A minimum of two year’s full-time or equivalent peri-operative experience

Recent experience in an operating suite instrument/circulating or anaesthetic/PACU experience

Experience in encompass obstetrics, gynaecology, plastic, orthopaedic, ENT, and general surgery for both adult and paediatric patients is highly desired
Registered Nurse – Perioperative Pool Services - Anaesthetics/PACU/Scrub/Scout

About the role:
Our Peri-Op Pool nurses work across all Western Health Operating Theatres – Sunshine, Joan Kirner, Footscray, Williamstown, Bacchus Marsh and Sunbury (Day Procedure only). By joining our Pool service, you will benefit from permanent working hours with the flexibility to work in multiple operating theatre settings.
You will be a part of Western Health’s innovative workforce initiative—Westwards. This model offers the freedom of flexible, short-term clinical assignments within the security of permanent employment, supporting both career progression and the development of future nursing leaders.
About you:

A minimum of two year’s full-time or equivalent peri-operative experience in minor and major surgery

The ability to commit to a minimum of 0.5EFT
