Employment Type: Temporary Part Time, 24 hours per week until October 2026 with a possibility of extension up to 12 months . Temporary positions available for Visa holders and contracts will be issued in line with visa conditions.

Remuneration: $46.05 - $61.27 per hour + 12% Superannuation + Salary Packaging + Work from Home

In this role, you will perform complex clinical coding with a high level of accuracy and compliance. You’ll take part in training sessions and webinars to continually strengthen your coding knowledge. You will also provide guidance and mentorship to junior coders, helping them grow in their roles. Are You the Right Fit?

Strong knowledge of ICD-10-AM/ACHI/ACS coding standards.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Ability to manage workload and meet deadlines.
Excellent communication skills with positive, proactive, and team-oriented approach.
Experience mentoring or supporting junior coders.

Selection Criteria
To help us assess your suitability for the role, please tell us as much as you can about yourself in response to the questions below.

Current extensive clinical coding experience using ICD-10-AM within a tertiary hospital setting.

Extensive experience across a broad range of specialties with evidence of meeting KPIs for accuracy & throughput as set within SWSLHD Advanced coder coding competencies.

Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal and communication skills with high level attention to detail.

Proven ability to prioritise tasks and effectively manage time and resources to meet pre-determined targets and deadlines.

Ability to analyse, abstract, interpret and report information in clinical coding forums.

Enthusiastic attitude and demonstrated ability to work both independently, within a team and be flexible in a changing work environment.

Demonstrated skill in the use of computerized PAS and record control systems, 3M Codefinder software, PICQ and a sound knowledge of Microsoft office applications.
