Area Manager | Tasmania

Are you a results-driven leader ready to grow a high-performing Tasmanian region and lead from the front?

About the Role

We’re seeking an experienced manager to lead our Darling Irrigation branches across Latrobe, Launceston and Scottsdale. Reporting to the Business Unit Manager – Water, you’ll drive commercial performance and operational excellence while building a strong, customer-focused and safety-first culture.

You will:

Lead regional strategy and execute branch business plans to achieve sales, margin and profit targets
Identify and convert growth opportunities across key markets and customer segments
Coach and develop Branch Managers, Operations Managers, Service and Sales teams to deliver high performance
Strengthen key customer and supplier relationships and elevate service standards
Oversee inventory, pricing, forecasting and working capital to optimise performance
Champion safety leadership and ensure WHS compliance across multiple sites
Drive continuous improvement and best practice across the region

About You

You’re a skilled leader with deep industry experience and a passion for building high-performing teams.

You bring:

Proven success in multi-site leadership within agriculture, irrigation or a related industry
Strong commercial acumen with a track record of delivering sales, margin and profit growth
Extensive experience in people leadership, coaching and performance management
Capability in strategic planning, budgeting, forecasting and reporting
Strong relationship management skills with customers, suppliers and stakeholders
Experience managing inventory, debtors and operational performance
Excellent communication, influencing and organisational skills
A commitment to safety leadership and fostering a “Safety First, All Day Every Day” culture
