Full Job Description

Kerman Contracting is seeking a Project Engineer to join our Site-Based Team. This role will see you coordinating all technical activities on assigned projects and participating in planning, scheduling, conducting, and coordinating Non-Process Infrastructure projects.

This is an exciting opportunity to work on a brand-new project for a Tier 1 Mining client.

Your Roles, Duties and Responsibilities

As a Project Engineer, you will:

Review drawings, plans, specifications, schedules and reports for projects, engineered systems, technical equipment or components and address design issues
Maintain the Project Quality Plan site systems
Assist in identifying changes in the scope of works and communicate these changes to the commercial team
Coordinate onsite inspection and testing activities
Coordinate MDR documentation onsite
Liaise with client quality representatives as required
Participate in Site Project Progress Meetings
Perform Quality checks on all completion documents from the contractors and staff
Maintain the NCR register and coordinate the responses to the client/subcontractors (external/internal NCRs) while ensuring corrective actions have been completed on time
Participate in periodic site quality audits
Regularly communicate with Perth Head Office on-site QA/QC issues/progress
Work with other disciplines to provide compliance with the contract requirements
Collaborate with clients, suppliers, head office engineers, consultants and contractors to resolve technical queries

About you:

To be successful for the Project Engineer role you will have:

Degree in Engineering, preferably civil or mechnaical background
3-5 years’ experience in a similar role, preferably within Construction
Experience in working with multiple discipline projects
Experience with NPI or Non-Processed Infrastructure projects will be highly regarded
