Join the team at OLIVETI in Glenelg South, South Australia as a full-time Cook. This is an exciting opportunity to showcase your culinary skills and passion for food in a growing hospitality business.

OLIVETI is a vibrant Italian restaurant located on the charming Broadway in Glenelg South. Known for our warm hospitality, fresh seasonal menus, and inviting atmosphere, Oliveti is the perfect place for those passionate about great food, genuine service, and creating memorable dining experiences.

Job Summary

In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality dishes according to our catering menu. You will work closely with the Executive Chef, Head Chef and kitchen team to ensure efficient food production while maintaining high standards of hygiene, safety, and presentation.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menus.
Assist in food preparation, ensuring timely and high-quality service.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and food storage areas.
Ensure food safety and hygiene standards are followed at all times.
Monitor stock levels and report shortages to the Chef or Head Chef.
Prepare food to meet special dietary requirements
Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Follow portion control guidelines to minimize food waste.
Support apprentice and train staff when/if necessary

Skills & Qualifications

Formal qualifications as a Cook or a minimum of 12 months experience as a Cook.
Knowledge of various cooking techniques and cuisines.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple orders simultaneously.
Strong attention to detail and presentation.
Understanding of food safety and hygiene standards.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work unsupervised
