Full Job Description

Ongoing, full time role based in Melbourne CBD
Lead a multi-disciplinary, high-performing team in a critical frontline service
Attractive salary of $100,894 - $114,476 plus superannuation

Community Correctional Services (CCS), part of the Department of Justice and Community Safety, plays a vital role in managing individuals on parole, post-sentence supervision, and court orders. As our client base continues to grow, we are strengthening our services through evidence-based practices-ensuring we focus on the areas that create the greatest impact.

About the role

As the Supervisor, you will work across both the Drug Court and Court Assessments and Prosecutions (CAPS) teams. You will lead a dedicated team of CCS staff and provide integral advice to the stakeholders and participants of Drug Court and CAPS.

This is a hands-on leadership role where you will:

Guide, mentor and develop a multi-disciplinary, high-performing team
Manage resources and activities across CAPS and Drug Court to ensure consistency with operating procedures and legislative requirements
Provide expert court advice to staff and stakeholders
Drive timely, high-quality service delivery and reporting
Develop and maintain key relationships with service providers, court staff and court users to ensure access to service options and efficient risk assessments as required

What you'll bring

To succeed in this role, you will have:

Strong experience in case management frameworks, including needs assessment in a human services setting
Proven ability to lead, support and develop teams in an operational environment
Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
An understanding of court processes and sentencing principles (desirable)
An understanding of the operations and specialist functions of Victorian Drug Court (desirable)

A qualification in social work, human services, criminal justice or criminology-and relevant industry experience-is also desirable.
