All Hallows’ School, a Catholic Mercy school for girls from Years 5–12, seeks to appoint a Performing Arts Tutor – Flute to join our Community.
The Performing Arts Tutor plays a vital role in inspiring and nurturing students’ artistic growth. Drawing on specialist expertise and professional experience, the successful candidate will create engaging and challenging learning experiences that foster skill development, confidence, and a lifelong appreciation for the performing arts.
This is a casual contract position, commencing on Tuesday, 6 October 2026 and finishing on Friday, 18 June 2027.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintaining a professional and respectful relationship with students, parents, and colleagues at all times.
- Providing Performing arts lessons to students, applying specialist professional knowledge and techniques acquired through formal qualifications (e.g. AMEB, Trinity College London, diploma or bachelor degree) and/or relevant experience.
- Delivering a stimulating, challenging, and balanced program of study tailored to each student’s goals, skill level, and developmental needs.
- Developing lesson plans and objectives to support student progress and achievement in performance, examinations, and personal development.
- Providing professional advice and technical expertise in implementing a high-quality performing arts program.
- Ensuring all duties are performed in accordance with relevant statutory, regulatory, and school policy frameworks.
Role Requirements
- Hold and maintain a current Queensland Working with Children Clearance (Blue Card).
- Have approval to work in Australia.
- Have or maintain the appropriate clearances, qualifications or registrations required to perform the inherent functions of the role.
- A commitment to the values and ethos of Catholic education in the Mercy tradition.
- Formal qualifications such as AMEB, Trinity College London, diploma or bachelor degree and/or relevant experience.
