About the role

This role sits within the City Works Department in the City Futures Directorate and leads the administration support function across multiple service areas including Civil Maintenance, Building Maintenance, Fleet Services, Waste Services and Cleansing.

As the Team Leader Administration Support, you will provide leadership, coordination and continuous improvement of administrative services to ensure efficient, high-quality support across the department. You will oversee a small team of administration staff, support operational leaders and the Manager City Works, and act as a central point for business support, reporting, recruitment processes, and customer service outcomes.

About you

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

Proven experience leading and developing teams to achieve business outcomes
Strong expertise in business support and office management functions within a complex organisation
Highly developed interpersonal, communication, negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills
Advanced computer literacy and experience with business systems and records management
Ability to manage competing priorities, tight timeframes and changing demands
A strong customer service focus with a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset
Sound judgement, organisational skills and the ability to lead continuous improvement initiatives.

You will be a collaborative and adaptable leader who can build strong relationships, influence outcomes, and maintain high standards of professionalism, integrity and accountability.
