As a Field Service Manager, you'll lead the safe, efficient and commercially successful delivery of field service operations across Caterpillar Energy Solutions products, data centre maintenance support and rental operations.
This is an off-the-tools leadership role responsible for leading a geographically dispersed team of field service technicians across multiple states, ensuring work is planned, resourced and delivered to the highest standards of safety, customer service and operational performance.
You'll play a critical role in balancing customer commitments, workforce planning, labour utilisation and commercial outcomes while supporting the continued growth of our power generation business. Working closely with customers and internal stakeholders, you'll ensure field service operations are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with business objectives.
This is an opportunity to combine strong technical understanding with leadership, operational management and commercial decision-making in a business supporting some of Australia's most critical energy infrastructure.
Leading, coaching and developing a geographically dispersed field service team across multiple locations
- Managing workforce planning, labour utilisation, resource allocation and field service delivery to meet customer and operational requirements
- Driving labour recovery, service profitability and commercial performance across field service operations
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with customers, acting as a key escalation point for operational and service-related matters
- Overseeing field service support across Caterpillar Energy Solutions products, data centre maintenance programs and rental operations
- Supporting outage planning, major maintenance activities and critical customer events to ensure successful project delivery
- Partnering with Sales, Product Support, Rental, Commissioning, Supply Chain and Finance teams to deliver exceptional customer outcomes
- Driving continuous improvement across planning, scheduling, reporting, work order management and service delivery processes

Required
- Mechanical or electrical trade qualification or equivalent field service leadership experience
- Experience leading or coordinating field-based technical teams within power generation, industrial services, heavy equipment, energy or related industries
- Strong understanding of field service operations, workforce planning, labour recovery and operational performance management
- Proven ability to build strong customer relationships and manage competing operational priorities
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and leadership skills
- Current driver's licence and unrestricted Australian working rights
Highly regarded
- Experience within gas power generation, large engines or Caterpillar Energy Solutions products
- Experience managing remote or geographically dispersed service teams
- Exposure to data centre, energy, rental, industrial services or critical infrastructure environments
- Experience managing service profitability, work order management and operational reporting
