Clerk Grade 5/6 Salary ($99,938 - $110,271 pa), plus employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading
This is a targeted recruitment. Your role
Provide high level research and analysis of records and information processing whilst providing a quality client service to internal and external stakeholders.
What you’ll do
- Receive and register informal requests for information under the Government Information (Public Access) Act (GIPAA) including processing payments and updating databases.
- Draft and prepare documents and correspondence in response to informal requests for information under GIPAA.
- Provide high level research and analysis of records for internal and external clients in relation to information requests including GIPAA requests, subpoenas, statutory orders and other information requests.
- Utilise knowledge of government and legal processes, manage sensitive client information and make judgements about the management of information within established policies and guidelines.
- Track and manage incoming and outgoing information requests for the unit and determine action or referral in accordance with developed processes.
- Develop and maintain systems, processes and techniques as required, to facilitate efficient management of information and records within established policies and guidelines.
- Respond to and resolve enquiries and issues to ensure the provision of accurate information, and the timely and effective resolution of issues, including drafting correspondence, such as, letters, memoranda, agenda, minutes, briefing notes and related documentation on behalf of the manager and unit, in line with the Division and Department guidelines.
- Undertake projects and research, including retrieving and collating complex documents and information.
- Interpret and comply with work procedures, practices, policy and standards.
- Develop and maintain good working relationships with key stakeholders.
What we’re looking for
- Current NSW Working With Children Check clearance
Appointments are subject to reference checks. Some roles may also require the following checks/ clearances:
- National Criminal History Record Check in accordance with the Disability Inclusion Act 2014
- Working with Children Check clearance in accordance with the Child Protection (Working with Children) Act 2012
In additional to the above essential criterial, we are looking for someone with:
- Experience providing high-level research and analysis of records and information reporting.
- Understanding and knowledge of the significant trauma and disadvantage young people experience. Display key understanding of the unique sensitive, cultural differences and social complexities of young people, their families and communities.
