Mobile Phone & Tablet Technician
We are looking for an experienced, reliable, and customer-focused Mobile Phone & Tablet Technician to join our team at Riverway Plaza, Rasmussen QLD 4815, Australia.
This role is ideal for someone who can work independently, communicate confidently with customers, and handle a wide range of device repairs and retail responsibilities in a kiosk retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Device Diagnosis & Customer Service
- Diagnose faults on mobile phones and tablets brought in by customers.
- Listen to customer concerns and clearly explain repair options and solutions.
- Provide accurate repair assessments and quotations.
- Keep customers informed throughout the repair process.
- Deliver excellent customer service and maintain a professional attitude at all times.
Repair Work
- Perform common repairs on both iPhone and Android devices, including:
- Screen replacements
- Charging port replacements
- Battery replacements
- Speaker and microphone repairs
- Camera replacements
- Other general hardware repairs
- Motherboard-level repair and micro-soldering are not required.
- Basic motherboard diagnostic knowledge and troubleshooting skills are highly regarded.
- Accurately document repairs and maintain repair records.
Sales & Retail Responsibilities
- Recommend and sell in-store accessories such as:
- Phone cases
- Screen protectors
- Chargers and cables
- Power banks
- Earphones and wireless accessories
- Identify opportunities to provide customers with suitable accessory and protection solutions.
- Bonus and commission opportunities are available and will be discussed with successful applicants.
Inventory & Store Operations
- Receive, check, organise, scan, and register incoming stock.
- Assist with stock counts and inventory accuracy.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and professional workspace.
- Follow store procedures and operational standards.
Third-Party Repairs
- For advanced motherboard-level repairs, obtain customer approval and arrange repair through our trusted third-party repair partners. ( Don't really require motherboard repair skill)
- Clearly communicate repair expectations, costs, and turnaround times to customers.

- Previous experience repairing mobile phones and tablets.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.

Trial Period & Remuneration
- The successful applicant will undergo a 1-week paid trial period (up to 5–7 shifts depending on roster requirements).
- During the trial period, the technician is expected to become familiar with:
- Our POS system
- Repair intake procedures and paperwork
- Inventory and stock management processes
- Store operations and customer service standards
- The final pay rate will be determined upon successful completion of the trial period and will be based on experience, technical competency, repair skills, reliability, and overall performance.
- Commission and bonus incentives are not applicable during the trial period and will commence after successful completion of the trial.
- All work performed during the trial period will be paid in accordance with applicable Australian employment laws.
