Recruitment Administration Trainee

Campbelltown | Full Time

My Gateway is seeking a motivated and people-focused Recruitment Admin Trainee to join our Employment Services team in Campbelltown. This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in recruitment, administration, onboarding and customer service while completing a nationally recognised qualification.

You’ll play an important role supporting candidates through their employment journey, from their first application through to onboarding and induction.

If you’re organised, confident communicating with people and interested in recruitment, HR or business administration, this could be the perfect career start.

About the Role

Working closely with our Recruiter and Employment Services team, you will assist with a range of recruitment and administration tasks including:

Recruitment Support

Reviewing job applications and screening candidates
Booking interviews and coordinating interview schedules
Welcoming applicants and assisting with interview paperwork
Conducting reference and eligibility checks
Preparing candidate profiles and recruitment documentation
Responding to candidate enquiries via phone and online platforms
Supporting bulk recruitment and interview days
Maintaining recruitment systems and databases

Onboarding & Administration

Booking inductions, medicals and hearing tests
Preparing employment contracts and onboarding documentation
Updating employee records and training information
Assisting with uniforms, compliance and induction preparation
Liaising with Apprenticeship Network Providers and internal teams

General Office Support

Reception duties and answering incoming calls
Setting up meeting rooms and taking meeting minutes
Assisting with company events, awards nights and information sessions
Providing general administrative support across the team

What We’re Looking For

Previous completion of Certificate III in Business or similar
Strong communication and customer service skills
Confident, outgoing and professional attitude
High attention to detail
Good computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
Ability to multitask and stay organised
Strong written communication and spelling skills
Ability to work independently and within a team
Interest in recruitment, HR or administration
Current driver licence - P1/P2 or Full

Previous administration experience is desirable but not essential, we’re looking for someone with the right attitude, willingness to learn and a strong work ethic.
