Fulltime role Tuesday to Saturday | 4am-2pm

What You Bring: Are you an experienced transport professional who thrives in a fast-paced dispatch environment?

Join Lindsay Transport as our Dayshift Operations Supervisor and lead the morning operations to ensure freight moves safely, efficiently and on time.
This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for overseeing dispatch activities, coordinating drivers and forklift drivers, dockhands and tug operators ensuring compliance with all operational and safety requirements.

We're looking for someone with the right mindset and leadership qualities—and we're ready to invest in training to set you up for success.

Supervisory & Leadership Skills- Ability to support and supervise forklift drivers and floor staff where required
Strong Organisational Skills- Confident in planning loads, allocating resources, and managing rosters
Attention to Detail- Ensuring all consignments, PODs, and paperwork are accurate and completed correctly
Compliance & Safety Focus- Understanding (or willingness to learn) Safe Operating Procedures, Chain of Responsibility, fatigue, and mass requirements
Clear Communicator- Comfortable liaising between office staff, drivers, and warehouse teams
Resilience & Accountability- Able to manage performance, priorities, and pressure in a live operational environment

What You'll Do:

Operations & Supervision- Assist the Shift and Operations Manager with supervision of drivers and floor staff
Freight & Delivery Management- Ensure all deliveries are loaded occur on time and within designated delivery windows
Load Planning & Allocation- Plan and build compliant loads and allocate drivers, staff, and equipment effectively
Compliance & Safety Oversight- Monitor fatigue, mass, and Chain of Responsibility in line with legislative requirements
Documentation & POD Management- Oversee retrieval, imaging, and submission of all POD documentation
Paperwork & Charging Accuracy- Work with Operations and Administration to ensure all inbound consignments are correctly documented and charged
Team Coordination- Act as the link between office and floor staff to ensure correct loading and freight allocation
People Management- Roster floor staff, manage performance, and participate in performance discussions
