Dayshift Operations Supervisor and lead the morning operations to ensure freight moves safely, efficiently and on time.
This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for overseeing dispatch activities, coordinating drivers and forklift drivers, dockhands and tug operators ensuring compliance with all operational and safety requirements.

- Supervisory & Leadership Skills- Ability to support and supervise forklift drivers and floor staff where required
- Strong Organisational Skills- Confident in planning loads, allocating resources, and managing rosters
- Attention to Detail- Ensuring all consignments, PODs, and paperwork are accurate and completed correctly
- Compliance & Safety Focus- Understanding (or willingness to learn) Safe Operating Procedures, Chain of Responsibility, fatigue, and mass requirements
- Clear Communicator- Comfortable liaising between office staff, drivers, and warehouse teams
- Resilience & Accountability- Able to manage performance, priorities, and pressure in a live operational environment
What You'll Do:
- Operations & Supervision- Assist the Shift and Operations Manager with supervision of drivers and floor staff
- Freight & Delivery Management- Ensure all deliveries are loaded occur on time and within designated delivery windows
- Load Planning & Allocation- Plan and build compliant loads and allocate drivers, staff, and equipment effectively
- Compliance & Safety Oversight- Monitor fatigue, mass, and Chain of Responsibility in line with legislative requirements
- Documentation & POD Management- Oversee retrieval, imaging, and submission of all POD documentation
- Paperwork & Charging Accuracy- Work with Operations and Administration to ensure all inbound consignments are correctly documented and charged
- Team Coordination- Act as the link between office and floor staff to ensure correct loading and freight allocation
- People Management- Roster floor staff, manage performance, and participate in performance discussions
