General Handyperson
Autonomous role supporting the Maintenance Manager
Free parking - Based in Mitchelton

We are seeking a qualified trade person to join our Mitchelton Aged Care as a Maintenance Officer.

Our Maintenance Officer in St Vincent's Care - Mitchelton, works autonomously and as part of a team, to provide routine, planned, ad-hoc and respond to urgent maintenance requests and general garden maintenance. And the requests are varied! You can expect requests from planned maintenance works like painting, patching and flooring repairs, general pruning and planned mowing, through to assisting residents with sensors, water pressure, TV remotes or bathroom and handrail installations - no day is the same in Aged Care.
This role also includes supervisory responsibilities, supporting the coordination of maintenance activities and providing guidance to team members where required.

Things that work for us

Have relevant trade qualifications (desirable) in carpentry, painter, electrician or plumbing
Relatable experience (essential), overall experience in Aged Care, Health or Community (highly desirable)
Hold a valid Driver's Licence (essential)
Experience working in a varied work environment
Customer service mindset - we are a person-centred organisation
Planning and time management skills
Participate in an on-call roster
Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check (NCCHC) (essential)
NDIS Worker Screening Check (essential)
